The paint on this piece is pale lavender. Bees and applied detail was done with silver leaf. Then I toned it all down with a hefty dose of dark umber and black glaze.
The lavender color was roughly brushed directly over a very dark blue base coat.

Thanks. The silver on this piece is metal leaf. There isn't really a paint as shiny as metal leaf, but you can try a brand called Chromatone. There are metallic spray paints but I don't recommend them because they are high VOC and are damaging to the environment.
