Silver Leaf Console
An aging glaze tones down the shiny newness on this piece. Old reliable raw umber and black glaze brushed on and rubbed and stippled back. Glaze on, glaze off.
And a tiny friend done much later. No, not for the same client.

Dresser with Silver Leaf Trim
The paint on this piece is pale lavender. Bees and applied detail was done with silver leaf. Then I toned it all down with a hefty dose of dark umber and black glaze.
The lavender color was roughly brushed directly over a very dark blue base coat.

White Chest on Stand
The high gloss finish doesn't really show up here. The pulls were a close-out. I think they should have been a little longer.

Oval Console with Floral Designs
I adapted the design on this piece from a book on Swedish interiors and furniture. I'd give proper attribution to the book if it wasn't packed away. I don't think a lot of this kind of painting is in my future but I had a lot of fun doing it.
